Baptism
Baptism is the public picture of a private decision — buried with Christ, raised to brand-new life. If you've decided to follow Jesus, this is your next step.
Why get baptized?
Baptism doesn't save you — Jesus does. But it's how he asked us to go public with that decision. Going under the water pictures the old you being buried; coming up pictures the new life you've been given. It's a celebration, a declaration, and an act of obedience all at once.
"We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead… we too might walk in newness of life." — Romans 6:4

No — you're saved by trusting Jesus, not by getting wet. But baptism is the first thing he asks of every new follower, so it's worth doing and not worth waiting on.
We celebrate that your family dedicated you to God. Baptism in the Bible follows a personal decision to follow Jesus — so if you've made that decision yourself, we'd love to baptize you.
We'll give you a CityLine baptism shirt; wear shorts underneath. And no — a pastor and your people will be right there with you the whole time.

We want kids to understand what they're doing, so we'll talk with you and your child first to make sure they're ready. Start with Baptism 101.
