Homeless Ministry

Join us monthly (every four weeks) as we share a meal, clothing / personal items, Christ's love, and the gospel with those who are homeless or in need in downtown Chicago. We first meet at CityLine Bible Church to prepare food and sort clothes or hygiene items, and then bring it downtown to serve across the street from the former James R. Thompson Center. You can meet us directly there if you live closer to downtown. *New Location: 181 N Clark St, Chicago, IL 60601 (In front of "Government Center Self Park") 11:30 am - We need about 4 volunteers to come early to prep and cook in the kitchen (basement). 12 pm - All other volunteers will meet to sort through any clothing and other donations we have, and begin loading. Before 1:00 pm, with the vans loaded, we'll pray and then ride together in the vans to Chicago. 1:45 pm - Arrive across from the east side of the former James R. Thompson Center (park along the left side, near 181 N Clark St., Chicago) 2 pm - Start serving food, distributing clothes, and conversing with those who come. 3:15 pm - Pack up and return to church about 3:45-4:00 pm. Clothes Donations of these new/lightly used (washed) items are always appreciated:

• Men: jeans (only waist sizes 32-38), comfortable pants (Med or Large), t-shirts (long & short sleeves), sweatshirts, light jackets, socks, gym shoes. Tops sizes Med-XL are preferred.
• Used backpacks or small rolling luggage
