Why Does God Allow Evil & Suffering?

At some point we have all asked the question, “how can a good God allow evil and suffering?” While the Bible doesn’t give us a verse that answers this question directly, it does show us a God who is so good that bad things are allowed to happen in order bring about his greater purposes. Further, it shows us a God who is with us in our pain and suffering, able to grant peace in any circumstance.
