Go Get Your Manna

April 12, 2026

You wouldn't eat one meal a week and expect to stay healthy. So why do we do it spiritually? In this message from Exodus 16, we trace the story of God raining bread from heaven in the wilderness — and what it reveals about how we're designed to live. The manna was there every morning. Available. Easy to find. But the people still had to go get it. And so do we. Two principles and a call to action from the text: The bread had to be gathered daily — God's Word is available to you, but you have to choose to go get it. Nobody else can do it for you. The bread was only good for one day — God made it expire on purpose. He wants you to come back to him again tomorrow, and the day after that, and the day after that. You need a plan — pick a time, pick a reading plan, find someone to be accountable to. A goal without a plan is just a wish.
